Hourly Support Services
No matter where we live, or what our situation in life, we all need a network of support to reach our goals. We need people in our lives who we can turn to for comfort, encouragement, and a helping hand.
At New Jersey MENTOR, we want people of all abilities to have access to the supports they need to be successful—whether they live with parents, friends, or in their own home or apartment. Through our Hourly Support Services program we offer a range of personalized supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and deliver them wherever they are needed—at home, at work and in the community.
We tailor our services to meet the needs and interests of each person and focus on helping them shape the direction of their own lives. Our experienced staff provides individualized services to help adults strengthen their abilities and learn new skills. Through hourly assistance and ongoing case management we help with:
- Medication management
- Health, wellness and physical fitness
- Money management
- Grocery shopping
- Public transportation
- Vocational support
- And much more…
We encourage individuals to do as much for themselves as possible, with the knowledge and comfort that our staff is there to support them whenever the need arises. Our Hourly Support Services build upon each person’s unique strengths and help them become increasingly independent. In addition to support at home, we want individuals to be comfortable in the community. We assist them in making new friends, spending time with family members, or participating in community events.
