About Us

New Jersey MENTOR was established in 1990 to provide needed home and community-based rehabilitation services to adults recovering from an acquired brain injury.   Since then, we have expanded our services to incorporate programs for people with disabilities and children with emotional and behavioral challenges.

Today, New Jersey MENTOR offers an array of specialized community-based services throughout the Garden State.  Whether the need is for intensive, short-term treatment or an extended care program, New Jersey MENTOR provides personal, caring, goal-directed services, carefully designed to meet individual needs and preferences.

Our programs include:

  • Therapeutic foster-care and clinical treatment services for children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Group home living for children with emotional and behavoral challenges.
  • Therapeutic treatment homes, community-based group homes, and structured day programs for adults and children with developmental disabilities.
  • Neuro-rehabilitation for adults and adolescents with acquired brain injuries provided in the individual's home and community or in one of three community-based residential treatment options. We also offer individual pre-vocational and job training programs and a structured therapeutic day program.
  • Group home and supervised apartment living for adults with acquired brain injuries.
