Founded in 1990, New Jersey MENTOR serves hundreds of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as children and families throughout the state. We offer individualized programs and personalized services for adults, children and adolescents in a variety of community-based settings such as group homes, day programs and therapeutic foster care.  Through our continuum of services and supports we help individuals with behavioral, physical or developmental disabilities learn, grow and become increasingly independent in the communities they call home.

We believe that personal relationships are the basis for meaningful growth and change. These relationships are best developed through active participation in the daily activities of neighborhood and family life. Our programs give individuals the opportunity to receive the services and support they need in a family home. Feeling safe and supported, they thrive in ways they couldn’t in more restrictive and institutional settings.
