New Jersey MENTOR is Hiring
Across New Jersey, human services professionals and state officials are working hard to bring home residents who had been receiving out-of-state care. In addition, the state is beginning to close it’s developmental centers where thousands of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities currently live. To meet the need for community-based services, New Jersey MENTOR is preparing dozens of Community Living Residences—also known as group homes—to support individuals as they move into the communities of their choice.
Become a Direct Support Professional
We’re excited to welcome these individuals into our Community Living Residences. But to do so, we need to hire hundreds of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
As a DSP, you’ll be a special person to the individuals you support. You’ll help adults adjust to their new surroundings and provide ongoing support. Being a DSP is a rewarding job and one of the best places to start your career with our company—and in the human services field.
New Jersey MENTOR is seeking Direct Support Professionals/Caregivers to provide assistance to individuals in our Community Living Residences. DSPs provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
